The Vortex86SX/DX are 4-in-1 SoC that not only integrate the Processor, North Bridge, South Bridge and BIOS Flash into a single chip, but also contain an internal pull-up resistor and clock generator to lower the number of BOM items and BOM cost. This helps to reduce the overall job load/resource allocation of your purchasing department.

The Vortex86SX and Vortex86DX have only a few pin differences; therefore it is possible to utilize both SoC with one design. This helps to save PCB inventory space and provide flexibility for sales.
